The Spark

Tailored Motions, originally Studio DNA, was born in Wilmington, Delaware, out of a simple but powerful desire: to never be disposable. I didn’t want to clock in for a 9–5. I wanted ownership, freedom, and a chance to build something that meant something — for myself and for the people I serve. With the help of a close friend who helped me form my first LLC, that seed was planted.

But the roots of Studio DNA stretch back much further. Growing up, my mom and I were homeless from ages five to twelve. By twelve, I found structure through football. I was terrible at first — two left feet, couldn’t catch, couldn’t move — but I worked harder than anyone. That grind earned me four Division I scholarships and a spot at one of the top academic universities in the country. Sports taught me grit, resilience, and how to build something from nothing.

 

 

The Setback → The Breakthrough

After college, I went back home. I taught myself audio engineering and producing. I landed at Enterprise, where I quickly became #1 in sales and customer service in my region. That job gave me the opportunity to relocate to Las Vegas — but within 30 days, I got fired.

No safety net. No backup plan. I had just signed my first lease. Two checks left before the money ran out. Instead of folding, I invested in a camera. With no film school, no mentors, and no network, I taught myself through YouTube, trial, and sheer hunger. Studio DNA was born in that fire.

 

 

The Turning Point

At first, it was all grit and limited gear. But one client changed everything: Coastal Paving & Excavating in Monterey, California. Michael Melicia brought me on in 2024 to run media for both his company and his personal brand. That’s when I realized — this wasn’t just content to keep the lights on. This was a movement. A chance to create something powerful, authentic, and lasting.
